St. Paul is the Oldest Lutheran Church in Peoria. Born in the early 1800’s on First Street and Goodwin in what is now downtown Peoria, St. Paul has moved and grown since those days. Once a German-speaking congregation for German immigrants, St. Paul has grown to welcome people of all shapes and sizes!
Our current building, built in the 1960’s, is set on 11 acres of wooded grounds in the heart of Peoria. Our worship services on Sunday boasts something “for everyone.” We are proud to have a worship service each week that beautifully blends both the traditional music of our beautiful pipe organ and our outstanding Praise Band. Coupled with a desire to share God’s good news with the world through word and deed, St. Paul is a thriving congregation eager to lend our hands to God’s work.
