Youth Programs

Our church can be hard to find, but a genuine youth program is worth the search.

St. Paul Lutheran Church offers programs for all age groups. Here are some of the programs we offer:

Sunday School for K-3, 4th-6th and 7th-High School

Each group has a different lesson but our goals are to bring the Bible to life through games, videos, songs and crafts.

Martin Luther King Holiday Lock-in

We meet at Landmark around 10 p.m. to watch a Christian movie. Then you have your choice of playing basketball, volleyball, bowling, and board games until 5 a.m. when it's time to leave. This event is for 5th grade - high school.

Be Like Jesus

Be Like Jesus is a 24-hour servant project for 3rd - 8th graders. This program has been around for 10 years and is so well received that the 3rd graders who began 10 years ago come back and volunteer to be team leaders. We have over 60 participants, over 20 volunteers and several work day projects that range anywhere from cleaning at local animal shelters, making blankets and hats for Peoria Children's hospital, singing and playing games at nursing homes to sitting down with memory loss patients and helping them put their memories in a book.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a collaborative fun filled time with another Lutheran Church in our area. The Directors of Youth and Family Services of both churches plan out a week for 3 year olds - 6th grade of fun, food, games, and songs centered around Christ.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is a fun filled night event. We have a chili cookoff, a dessert contest, games, a parade of costumes, and a trunk decorating contest. The young people go trunk to trunk for their Halloween treats. Young and old, everyone looks forward to this annual event.

Confirmation is a time for 7th and 8th graders to dig deeper into their faith and their world. Classes combine learning with "real world" field trips in preparation for their Affirmation of Baptism at the end of 8th grade.

8days is a college aged group designed to explore the Bible in exciting ways by meeting over coffee, lunch, dinner and attending movies.
