Our church can be hard to find, but genuine service is worth the search.

Serving the community in whatever way is needed has always been part of our mission. St. Paul Lutheran Church members of all ages are involved in community service in its many forms. Outreach efforts provide benefits to both the giver and receiver. The giver grows in his or her faith while empowering the recipient – not just through material means, but by providing the person with a sense of being loved. Each of us IS the church; when we serve individually, we perform God’s work with our own hands.

St. Paul Lutheran Church finds creative fun ways to give back to our community and abroad. Recently our quilting group made over 100 quilts, collected over 200 bars of soap and put together over 70 backpacks to send to LWR (Lutheran World Relief). Our members passed out root beer floats at a community center during a summer league. Our youth group partnered with some of our older members put together and passed out over 20 food baskets and Christmas gifts for some needy families. We celebrated Christmas in July by gathering books for Lutheran Social Service of Illinois.

You’ll find an abundance of opportunities to serve in a way that aligns with your interests and skills.
