St. Paul Lutheran provides two Worship Services on Sunday Mornings.
|
Our First Service, at 8:30 a.m., is a traditional liturgical service with several variations. Worship at St. Paul’s focuses on God’s word, the Lord’s supper and Baptism. Three Bible lessons and a psalm are read every Sunday. The sermon applies one of the lessons to current events and daily living. Baptism is celebrated whenever there are baptismal candidates and it is remembered every Sunday in the confession of faith and forgiveness of sins. The Lord’s supper, Holy Communion, is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in the service. We utilize two hymnals, several worship settings and a variety of hymnody from plainsong to contemporary and World music composers. Organ music accompanies the service, hymns and choir. From September until May our Chancel choir provides special music, reinforcing the scripture lessons and theme for the day. |

Our Celebration and Praise Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. features contemporary Christian music by Michael W. Smith and other artists. Our Praise Band is led by Greg King and features keyboard, guitars, drums, and other instruments. The music is led by vocalists and the songs are projected on a screen. The order of Worship changes every Sunday and uses contemporary forms and language. Holy Communion is celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month in this Service. |

Children's Ministry
Several times during the year the Children’s Choir (Cherub Choir: Ages 2 – Kindergarten, His Kids – Grades 1 through 6) also provide special music. Every year in February our Children lead worship at our 11:00 a.m. Service for Children's Ministry Sunday.
